Thank you, Ms. Mary Ann Ratliff

A Message from the Executive Director

Mary Ann Ratliff

Thank you for being part of the Carrollwood Cultural Center. We are so grateful for your support and participation. As we continue to grow and thrive, we look forward to the future and hosting more events, classes, camps, and opportunities for the community to enjoy.

On behalf of the staff and board of directors, I want to acknowledge a significant gift the Center received. As a non-profit organization, we rely on the generosity and financial support of the community to help sustain our programming and fulfill our mission.

Recently, the Center received a bequest from Mary Ann Ratliff.

Mary Ann was a Charter Member and longtime patron of the Center. She enjoyed taking classes and participated in several other activities. When planning her legacy, Mary Ann thought to include the Center in her will.

Because of her generosity, we have made several improvements to the Center. Her bequest paid for the new carpet and flooring in the Main Theatre and the Community Room. We also upgraded our sound and tech area, which has positively impacted our concerts and theatrical productions. Additionally, with Mary Ann’s participation as a student in mind, we invested in the classroom and purchased two new pottery kilns.

We are incredibly thankful!

Without Mary Ann’s amazing gift, it would have taken us years and several capital campaigns to achieve these enhancements that we can enjoy now.

Gifts such as Mary Ann’s, allow the Center to continue to grow and increase our quality as a community resource. When writing your will, please consider the community and a non-profit organization, such as the Carrollwood Cultural Center. With the opportunity to specify a specific amount, asset, or estate percentage, bequests enable the giver to be flexible with their giving.

If you want to explore a legacy gift, we encourage you to discuss it with your estate planner.

Please think of Mary Ann Ratliff the next time you visit the Center and all the beautiful things we have been able to do because of her generosity.

I look forward to seeing you at the Center,

Paul Berg
