CARROLLWOOD — The Carrollwood Cultural Center will be taking audiences on a musical journey, first with a performance by the Carrollwood Community Chorus on June 3 and next by the Carrollwood Winds on June 4.

Both concerts will take place at the Carrollwood Cultural Center’s Main Theatre, 4537 Lowell Road, Tampa. Tickets are available for members at $12 and non-members at $15.

The Carrollwood Community Chorus will perform a “Celtic Spring” from 8-9:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 3 featuring music from Ireland, Scotland, and Wales. The local Celtic fusion band North of Argyll will accompany the singers for select songs during the evening.

The Carrollwood Winds will perform “Fantasy and the Familiar” from 4-5 p.m. on Sunday, June 4 featuring a variety of folk tunes, marches, and a medley from “Guardians of the Galaxy.”

“We’ve done a lot of different genres of music, but I kept leaning toward Celtic music,” said Mary Jo Hahn, Carrollwood Community Chorus director. “My son took me to Ireland this past March during spring break because his wife is from Dublin and it was so funny, that was like an affirmation for me to do Celtic music this year.”
