Wright takes the baton as curator for Cultural Center

CARROLLWOOD — After retiring from a successful career in advertising and web design, Carrollwood Cultural Center’s newest curator unexpectedly found herself working again in a field she’s passionate about.

“I stopped into the Carrollwood Cultural Center one Saturday trying to check out their market, to see whether it might be a place where I might sell some of my paintings,” said Willow Wright. “The friend that brought me said, ‘Lets go inside, they have a beautiful gallery.’ I had an opportunity to talk to Michelle Stone, the previous curator, and she said tomorrow was her last day. Then my friend said, ‘Willow, you should apply for this job!’”
