Teen Wheel Throwing

  • Class Description

Teen Wheel Throwing class iconStudents ages 13 to 17 will be introduced to the art of wheel-throwing pottery as well as basic design techniques to create functional and nonfunctional clay objects.

Students will make a few objects on the potter’s wheel, learn to glaze the bisque-fired pieces, and have their final pieces fired in a kiln to take home at the end of the course.

Please Note: All students must be able to follow instructions and work independently with further help as needed. Working with the wheel requires moderate upper body strength, using shoulders, arms, and hands to mold and shape clay.
