Intermediate & Advanced Hand Building

  • Class Description

Hand Building - Intermediate & Advanced class iconIntermediate and advanced pottery students have already learned and practiced a variety of hand-building techniques and are ready to kick their skills up a notch! In this class, we will practice various decorating techniques, including dabbling in majolica, creating our own underglaze transfers, using wax resist, and learning watercolor techniques. Students may also choose to design their creations throughout our six-week session. Weeks 1-4 are for creating, and weeks 5 and 6 are for glazing. Break week is for firing. Finalized pieces can be picked up the first week of the next session at your previous class time, even if you are not registered for the next session. Notice will be sent out to all students once firings are complete.

Please Note: All students must be able to follow instructions and work independently with further help as needed.
