The Center is introducing a new series of free and educational lectures titled The Art of […] with guest speakers who will discuss everyday life by focusing on topics such as tattooing, survival, therapy, motherhood, literature, tea, etiquette, and storytelling.
The Gallery at Carrollwood Cultural Center celebrated artwork by its faculty and students in the Annual Student/Faculty Art Show during a reception on Friday, November 12.
“Flamenco is a beautiful dance form. It originally comes from Spain,” Flamenco Tropical Artistic Director Jessica Pacheco said. “There is classical Spanish dance, where you use castanets, shawls, fans. We are actually percussionists.”
The Carrollwood Cultural Center is adding several new classes and workshops for children and adults to its arts-based curriculum for 2022. New courses include Portrait Drawing, Painting with Acrylics, Expressive Tangling, Creative Writing, ZUMBA Gold®, Father/Daughter Ballroom Dancing, body-confidence dance classes, and wellness classes.
This month, Tampa Bay area horror fans will have a rare opportunity to catch the world premiere of a brand-new film based upon H.P. Lovecraft’s ambitious classic weird horror tale “The Call of Cthulhu.”
The Center is making it easier for patrons and donors to support its mission through donor-friendly enhancements to the membership program.
