CARROLLWOOD — Sebastian Hagelstein is back for an encore.
Hagelstein is a Tampa native actor and writer, now based in New York, but the start of his acting career came on the stage at Carrollwood Cultural Center. In fact, Hagelstein was in the Center’s first-ever production in 2009, when he played the titular character in “Oliver!”
Now, in a full-circle moment, the Center is putting on three shows of the play he wrote, “Letterhead.”
“I hope that the Center will always hold a special place for him,” CCC’s executive director Paul Berg said. “I like to think that we got him started in theater. I am so proud of Sebastian. It’s a wonderful experience when you can watch someone grow and develop in the theater.
