CARROLLWOOD — ‘Tis the season for some terrific trees.

At the Carrollwood Cultural Center, located at 4537 Lowell Road, its annual Holiday Trees Display & Auction got underway Nov. 4 and will run through Dec. 15, for interested and festive parties to not only view a variety of themed holiday trees displayed in the lobby, but also bid on them.

It’s a fundraiser with proceeds that benefit the Tom Jones Tuition Assistance Fund, which allows families in need of financial assistance to send their children to summer camp for free or reduced tuition. Tom Jones, widely considered the founding father and architect of the Carrollwood Cultural Center who formed the idea as early as 1996 and saw the doors open in 2008, passed away in July at 85.
