Create Your Own Manga
- Class Description
This 12-week course introduces students to the fundamentals of manga drawing and storytelling. Starting with the basics of anatomy, character design, and paneling, students will gradually build the skills needed to complete a two-page original manga short story by the end of the session. Each class includes a 20 -30-minute lesson with reference to influential Manga artists, followed by hands-on drawing practice and project development time. By the end of the session, each student will complete a 2-page manga, along with supporting materials such as thumbnails, character sheets, and practice studies. - Instructor

Graphite pencil set (HB, 2B, 4B, 6B), Black pens or fineliners (Micron, Sakura or equivalent or traditional dip pens if you wish) , bristol board or manga/comic paper (9×12 or larger), Ruler for paneling and perspective, Erasers (Kneaded and Vinyl), Sketchbook for warmups and notes
