“Everyday Encounters” by Yuka Ikebuchi
Yuka Ikebuchi is originally from Shimane prefecture in southwestern Japan. During her college years in Japan, she encountered works of art created by people who survived extremely traumatic wartime experiences, facilitating her desire to pursue art therapy. Upon completing her studies, she worked with a wide variety of clinical populations at hospitals, community facilities, and […]
“Square Roots” by Mark Lembo

My latest adventures have been in relief printing/mark-making and abstract montage. Even with a simple palette, there are still so many ideas […]
“A Natural Response” by Susan Huskey
A native Floridian, Susan Huskey deeply appreciates the beauty of flowers and the landscape, having grown up in the country with the freedom to explore her natural surroundings. Susan's love of flowers was a gift from her mother, a botanist who always had gardens full of flowers and taught her how to plant her first […]
“Think Big” by Elizabeth Ventura
Creating large works requires not only exaggerated gestures, sweeping brush strokes, and thick paint but also broader, simpler concepts that can be seen and understood from a distance. Big work means tapping into big dreams. I thought about bold colors, distinct shapes, a mix of organic and structured elements to create a noticeable presence. Think […]
