    Basic Sewing

    Make a new project each week as you build you sewing skills. This class is designed to make everyday items that can be used at home and they are perfect for gift giving! These projects will be so fun and simple, you’ll be making duplicates on your own in no time.

    Sewing machine in working order,zig-zag foot, 1/4 in piercing foot, walking foot, 90/14 needle – universal or topstitch, scissors, Thread – gray blends well with all fabrics or bring matching colors, Week 1: 1 fat quarter cotton fabric, Week 2: 1 fat quarter for top, 1 fat quarter for back, 1 strip cottom batting (approx 8″ x 30″), Week 3: 1 yd flannel with coordinating bath towel (thin bette than plush, Week 4: 1 yd fabric for top, 1 yd fabric for back, 1 yd cotton batting, Week 5: 2 coordinating cotton fat quarters, 1 piece cotton batting (approx 15″ x 15″), Week 6: 3/4 yd (main fabric), 1/4 yd (cuff/edging fabric), 1/8 yd for accent strip) ALL FABRICS ARE TO BE COTTON or COTTON/POLY BLEND. NO KNIT FABRICS. Note: If unable to obtain mateirals please reach out at least 3 days prior to the class, and certain mateiral can be provided for a kit fee of $40 payable to the teacher first day of class.
