‘Gypsy’ comes to life on stage at Carrollwood Cultural Center

CARROLLWOOD — An ambitious stage mother, a rising burlesque star, and songs that audiences know and love make for an exciting production of “Gypsy” coming to the Carrollwood Cultural Center at the end of the month.

Tickets are still available for the show, which will run April 28 to May 7, at 4537 Lowell Road, Tampa. Show times are scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, April 28 and 29, May 5 and 6, and 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 30 and May 7. Admission is $30 for Carrollwood Cultural Center members and $35 for non-members.

Sign interpretation for the show will be available during the performance on May 5, and audiences are asked to inquire about this at time of purchase.

“Audiences can expect to find high energy, amazing talent, and great music when they come to see the show,” said “Gypsy” Director Andi Garner. “I love this show, it’s been a part of my life since I was little. One of the first auditions I ever went to was for ‘Gypsy.’”
