It’s more than a jazz concert. It’s time with friends.
Jazz with Jim is a monthly concert hosted by Jim Burge (saxophone/flute), Ron Delp (keyboard), Jeff Hanson (drums), and John Tschirhart (bass) — together, they are the Jazz Directions.
This month, the Jazz Directions will perform music by American songwriter Frank Loesser, author of music and lyrics for the Broadway musicals Guys and Dolls and How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. Loesser won Tony Award for Guys and Dolls and shared the Pulitzer Prize for Drama for How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. He also wrote songs for more than 60 Hollywood films and was nominated for five Academy Awards for best song, winning once for “Baby, It’s Cold Outside.”
