American Sign Language

  • Class Description

This ASL introductory course meets twice a week for six weeks.

This American Sign Language I class will practice receptive and expressive language skills. It includes sign vocabulary, fingerspelling, numbers, and more! Students will increase their awareness of Deaf culture through class instruction and by participating in the Deaf community (Deaf visitors to the class). We will emphasize grammatical principles and functions. Fun activities will challenge students to communicate in American Sign Language without voice. Additional materials are not required.
