Advanced Pencil Sketching & Pastel Blending

  • Class Description

    In this engaging art class, students ages 10–13 will explore the fundamentals of pencil sketching and creative pastel blending techniques. Participants will learn how to build strong drawings using proportion, shading, and composition before adding vibrant color with oil pastels. Through guided projects, students will practice blending, layering, and texture techniques to create expressive artwork. The class encourages creativity while helping students develop observation skills and confidence in their artistic abilities. Each session introduces new techniques and creative exercises designed to strengthen drawing and color application. By the end of the program, students will complete several finished artworks and gain a deeper understanding of color, shading, and artistic expression in a supportive studio environment.
