Alex Lopez

ALEX LOPEZ & THE XPRESS

“Blues/rock guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter Alex Lopez comes off like the emerging star he is on his new record. Together everyone involved made a killer contemporary blues/rock album that’s tight, well-executed, and multifaceted.”  – Rock and Blues Muse

Alex Lopez

Alex Lopez is an acclaimed guitarist, prolific songwriter and emerging artist recognized for his electrifying live performances. Mixing blues, rock, pop, and even funk, Lopez and his band, The Xpress, create a blues sound that is uniquely mesmerizing within a framework of melodic memorable songs.

In 2013, Lopez released the self-recorded album Back Bedroom Blues a collection of all original blues and blues/rock songs on which he played all instruments and introduced his formidable skills as a blues guitarist and singer/songwriter. In 2015 Lopez released his second CD Is it a Lie with his newly formed band The Xpress to excellent reviews. His third album, Slowdown achieved a new level of success with international recognition and critical acclaim rising up the blues, jam, and Americana charts with worldwide airplay and earning Alex fans across the globe. That was followed up with  Yours Truly, Me… which went to #6 on the blues radio charts and positioned Alex to continue his ascent in contemporary blues.

Lopez just released his most ambitious album to date. The pure blues-rocker Rising up is already at the top of the radio and billboard charts and reviewers are saying it “is sure to be one of this year’s best blues/rock albums.”

HOT MIKADO

Hot-MikadoHot Mikado

Book and Lyrics adapted by David Bell

Music adapted and arranged by Rob Bowman

Based on “The Mikado” by W.S. Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan

Directed by  Aaron Washington

Musical Director Josh Cessna

Live Orchestra Conducted by Jim Burge

Cultures glide and collide in a hilarious and “hot” updating of Gilbert and Sullivan’s perennial classic, The Mikado. Hot Mikado weaves a hilarious tale, where, despite life-or-death stakes, characters still find time to tap their toes and do their fair share of scatting.

In a land where outlandish laws sentence people to death for almost any indiscretion, jazz, the blues, and gospel are spoken fluently. Find out what happens when the clean lines and color of Japanese design combine with the big band sights and sounds of popular American song and dance!

Hot Mikado is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI.  www.MTIShows.com

ADVANCED TICKETS: $21 member / $25 general admission

DAY-OF-SHOW: $23 member / $27 general admission
