About this Artist

Sydney Millett is a Tampa Bay Area-native with a smiling personality.  She lives to inspire creativity in all places in our community & sees beauty in the details of every thing.  Sydney has been producing art since a child, with a taste for realism & portraiture, painting in both oils & acrylics as primary mediums.  Through a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy & Sociology from the University of South Florida, she developed a broader appreciation of art in life.  She is a firm believer that there is more to an artist than creating art:

“Through art, the artist can learn wonders about one’s self! This process is why I love seeing the complexity of an individual unfold in their unique piece. I appreciate all forms of artistic expression – creativity is so interesting to me! I want to see what we each consider our art and learn something.”

These passions led Sydney to expand her reach.  Becoming the entrepreneur of Vicious Art Studios was the next step for Sydney to combine her knowledge & talents in art & design with her professional skills.  Vicious Art Studios is now successfully producing custom art projects of any scale or kind.  See her projects at www.ViciousArtStudios.com

Through her participation & support in the local art community, Sydney had the honor of winning first place in the 2018 artLAB competition hosted by the Thornhill Foundation for the Arts.  This has given her the opportunity to hold a solo show with the Carrollwood Cultural Center and share her love of art & beyond.

This exhibit focuses on Perspective – challenging our every day views.  The artworks displayed give the spectator unique portrayals of common views & experiences, with playful colors & distortions – bringing a touch of surrealism to the real, which can be understood & appreciated by everybody.
