Expressive Tangling

The Zentangle® Art Method (ZAM) is an easy-to-learn, relaxing, and fun way to create abstract art. Students will learn by drawing repetitive patterns (tangles) in eight simple steps. Instrumental music will be incorporated along with five strokes to draw circular, curved, dots, geometric, and grid patterns with ease and help students recognize patterns in everyday life. This meditative art form is considered yoga for the mind with its ability to increase focus, creativity, and artistic satisfaction. It also provides an increased sense of personal well-being. Whether one is a seasoned artist or a beginner, there is no prior drawing experience necessary in therapeutic art. Students will leave the class having created their own beautiful tile, knowing that anything is possible one stroke at a time.
