Expressive Introspection: Using the Arts to Find Life Balance
Combining Inter-modal Expressive Arts with the Zentangle Art Method, this class merges both methods to use the creative process to assist with identifying your own more balanced life rhythm through artistic self-expression. The class begins with a meditative check-in to your current Body (energy), Mind (will), and Spirit (hope/faith) (BMS) rhythm using the visual art and music. We then shift to using movement,sound or free writing to get deeper into your own creative flow in that moment. We then move to create a larger piece of introspective visual art. You will leave class with a deeper sense of self-connection and-awareness through expressive introspection using various art modalities transferred into multiple visual art pieces. This art technique was designed by Miriam Zimms and is NEW approach to bring self-awareness to how to find balance in your daily life by using therapeutic art techniques for checking-in with our BMS and becoming aware that they are all three separate drivers and motivators in our choices for everyday living. No art experience is necessary for therapeutic art.
