American folk and pop music legends The Kingston Trio
will perform some of their chart-topping hits such as “Tom Dooley” at the Carrollwood Cultural Center.
Four-time Grammy Award winners The Kingston Trio emerged from San Francisco’s North Beach club scene to take the country by storm during the late 50s and early 60s. Fifty-eight years after Tom Dooley shot to the top of the chard, the Trio (now with Mike Marvin, Tim Gorelangton, and Don Marovich) are back on the road again – bringing back all of the great memories and creating new ones. Along with their chart-topping hits such as “Tom Dooley,” “MTA (He’ll Never Return),” and “Where Have All The Flowers Gone,” the Trio has created a special tribute to Arlo Guthrie, performing one of his most famous songs, “City of New Orleans.”
