About this Exhibit

Art Against Abuse is a collaborative exhibition by Florida based artists Polina Lebedeva, Dee Perconti, Michele Stone and Gina White. Through their work, artists are showing the strong emotions and feelings of overcoming suffering and despair that leads to hope.

“My artwork involved working with color and manipulation of objects to invoke emotion. I depict what it feels like to be in an abusive relationship. The faces you might show to look okay on the outside even though your world may feel like it is falling apart.

Sometimes it feels like you can’t get out, so one of my pieces shows a cage/wire like fence with boulders moving toward the person.”
