DESCRIPTION:The Carrollwood Winds is a concert band comprised of local community members who are committed to performance. The band performs a wide range of literature at the high school and college level. Members of the band are not beginners or novices\, rather members of the community with band experience who are looking for a venue to continue their craft. The Carrollwood Winds performs at the Carrollwood Cultural Center four to five times throughout the year and is branching out to other community and educational venues as well.

Others dreamt of being a musician but never had the opportunity\, or the money to pay for lessons and instruments when they were school age. Both groups find themselves now at or near retirement with children grown and gone\, fewer responsibilities\, but just as much desire. \nThe NHIMA provides opportunities for adults to be involved in a band – whether it’s for the first time\, or the first time in a long time.
