SUMMARY:Deathtrap
DESCRIPTION:Deathtrap\nBy Ira Levin\nDirected by Chris Holcom \nLiving comfortably in his charming Connecticut home\, Sidney Bruhl\, a writer of Broadway thrillers\, struggles to overcome a dry spell resulting in a string of failures and a shortage of funds. A possible break in his fortune occurs when he receives a script from a student in the seminar he has been conducting at a nearby college. Sidney’s plan\, devised with his wife’s help\, is to offer collaboration to the student for co-credit. Or is it? Deathtrap provides twists and turns of a devilish cleverness and offers hilariously sudden shocks so abundant it will leave you spellbound until the very last moment. \nPresented by special arrangement with Broadway Licensing\, LLC\, servicing with Dramatists Play Service collection. \nPart of the 2023-24 Theatrical Season\, An Artist’s Playground. \n\nAdmission: $18 member / $23 general admission \nGroup Rate (10+ people): $19 per ticket \n\n(Online processing fees apply. SUMMARY:"Medusa" by Florida in Art
DESCRIPTION:This art exhibition explores the rich and multifaceted narratives of Medusa\, a mythical feminine figure whose story has been told and retold through the ages.\nThe myth of Medusa is a tapestry of tragedy\, transformation\, and power. Artists have been encouraged to delve into this complex myth and present their unique interpretations\, whether Medusa symbolizes victimhood\, empowerment\, or something entirely different. \nArtists interpret a broader dialogue about the influence of myth and art on Western culture and challenge the boundaries of traditional interpretations\, a conversation starter. We are inviting viewers to reconsider Medusa’s story via diverse artistic lenses. \n(Event image: “Medusa” by Patricia Pettit) \n  \n
