Others dreamt of being a musician but never had the opportunity\, or the money to pay for lessons and instruments when they were school age. Both groups find themselves now at or near retirement with children grown and gone\, fewer responsibilities\, but just as much desire. \nThe NHIMA provides opportunities for adults to be involved in a band – whether it’s for the first time\, or the first time in a long time. The father has left home; Tom supports his mother and sister with a shoe-factory job he finds unbearable. When Amanda convinces Tom to bring home from his workplace a “gentleman caller” for Laura\, the illusions that Tom\, Amanda\, and Laura have each created in order to make life bearable collapse about them.  \nThe Glass Menagerie is presented through special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service. \n\nAdmission: $18 member / $23 general admission \nGroup Rate (10+ people): $19 per ticket \n(This event has reserved seating.) \n\n\nRemember to “Round It Up” and make a donation to the Center’s Operating Fund. The father has left home; Tom supports his mother and sister with a shoe-factory job he finds unbearable. When Amanda convinces Tom to bring home from his workplace a “gentleman caller” for Laura\, the illusions that Tom\, Amanda\, and Laura have each created in order to make life bearable collapse about them.  \nThe Glass Menagerie is presented through special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service. \n\nAdmission: $18 member / $23 general admission \nGroup Rate (10+ people): $19 per ticket \n(This event has reserved seating.) \n\n\nRemember to “Round It Up” and make a donation to the Center’s Operating Fund.
