DESCRIPTION:Students will learn the basics of wheel throwing by forming and throwing simple shapes on the potter’s wheel. More advanced students will build upon the basics to create larger\, more advanced projects. Please Note: Working with the wheel requires moderate upper body strength\, using shoulders\, arms\, and hands to mold and shape clay. \nWeeks 1-4 are for creating\, and weeks 5-6 are for glazing. This tribute band will bring you back to the psychedelic era with the sights\, sounds\, and atmosphere of a real Doors show. The name\, The Doors of Perception\, taken from the famous book by Aldous Huxley\, was Jim Morrison’s original name for his band before it was shortened to The Doors. \n\nAdmission: $22 member / $27 general admission \n\n\n\nStream it Live: $10 \n\n\n\nStreaming sponsored by AARP. \n \nRemember to “Round It Up” and make a donation to the Center’s Operating Fund. Consider making a donation when registering for classes or purchasing tickets.
