SUMMARY:"Give Thanks\, Give Back" by Hanna Rachocka
DESCRIPTION:Give Thanks\, Give Back by Hanna Rachocka is a charity exhibit benefiting the Carrollwood Cultural Center.\nThe collection is a series of ten impasto acrylic paintings by Hanna Rachocka that transform the traditional still life into an elemental exploration of emotion\, weather\, and inner fire. SUMMARY:"Silent Guardians" by Laurie Edwards
DESCRIPTION:As an artist working in watercolor\, glass\, fine jewelry\, textiles\, and resin\, I find inspiration in the beauty of my immediate surroundings. Choosing to notice what is quietly extraordinary in the everyday is a practice that grounds me. \nCreative expression—whether through music\, writing\, or visual art—has always been my way of connecting with the universe and escaping anxiety. Each piece begins as a conversation: with materials\, with memory\, with wonder\, and with the viewer. These creative outlets give me a tangible voice—a way to share what words often cannot. \n– Laurie Edwards

SUMMARY:Rehearsal: New Horizons Band
DESCRIPTION:The New Horizons International Music Association (NHIMA) is a worldwide organization comprised of more than 250 New Horizons groups with 10\,000 members. Some played music during their school years and stashed their instrument in a closet\, or attic while the demands of work and raising children took center stage. Others dreamt of being a musician but never had the opportunity\, or the money to pay for lessons and instruments when they were school age. Both groups find themselves now at or near retirement with children grown and gone\, fewer responsibilities\, but just as much desire. \nThe NHIMA provides opportunities for adults to be involved in a band – whether it’s for the first time\, or the first time in a long time. Together we learn and perform in a friendly and positive atmosphere. \nMore Info

This role requires an actor who can convey leadership\, confusion\, strength\, vulnerability\, and optimism simultaneously. \nJudas Iscariot – 20-40 – Tenor (D3–D5) – One of the twelve apostles of Jesus; concerned for the poor and the consequences of Jesus’s fame. Judas believes in Jesus’s teaching but has started to grow weary of those in power coming after him and his followers. The role requires an actor who can convey frustration\, yearning\, weakness\, dismay\, and pessimism simultaneously. \nMary Magdalene 20-35 – Mezzo-Soprano (F3–E♭5) – A female follower of Jesus who finds herself falling in love with him. The role requires an actress who can show grace\, stability\, weakness\, and compassion. \nPontius Pilate – 30-50 – Tenor (A2–B4) – Governor of Judea who foresees the events of Jesus’s crucifixion from beginning to aftermath in a dream and finds himself being presented with that very situation. The role requires an actor who can show authority\, rage\, fragility\, and fear. \nCaiaphas – 30-50 – Bass (C♯2–F4) – One of the main antagonists of the show.
