SUMMARY:"Give Thanks\, Give Back" by Hanna Rachocka
DESCRIPTION:Give Thanks\, Give Back by Hanna Rachocka is a charity exhibit benefiting the Carrollwood Cultural Center.\nThe collection is a series of ten impasto acrylic paintings by Hanna Rachocka that transform the traditional still life into an elemental exploration of emotion\, weather\, and inner fire. Each vessel becomes a metaphor for the human spirit—resilient in rain\, tangled in thought\, radiant in bloom\, or aflame with creative force. Together\, the works weave a narrative of resilience\, paradox\, celebration\, and transformation\, inviting viewers to reflect on the seasons and storms of the soul. \nEach original painting is valued at $700 but available for a $375 donation. You can purchase each painting by donating directly to the Carrollwood Cultural Center. Paintings are available for immediate pick up once the donation is made. 100% of the proceeds will directly support the Center. \nVisit hrartstudio.com to view other works by Hanna Rachocka\, \nGive Thanks\, Give Back Exhibit:

SUMMARY:"Silent Guardians" by Laurie Edwards
DESCRIPTION:As an artist working in watercolor\, glass\, fine jewelry\, textiles\, and resin\, I find inspiration in the beauty of my immediate surroundings. Choosing to notice what is quietly extraordinary in the everyday is a practice that grounds me. \nCreative expression—whether through music\, writing\, or visual art—has always been my way of connecting with the universe and escaping anxiety. Each piece begins as a conversation: with materials\, with memory\, with wonder\, and with the viewer. These creative outlets give me a tangible voice—a way to share what words often cannot. \n– Laurie Edwards

SUMMARY:"Give Thanks\, Give Back" by Hanna Rachocka (Online Exhibit & Auction)
DESCRIPTION:Give Thanks\, Give Back by Hanna Rachocka is an entirely online exhibit and charity auction benefiting the Carrollwood Cultural Center. The exhibit and auction will close on December 31\, 2026.\nThe collection is a series of ten impasto acrylic paintings by Hanna Rachocka that transform the traditional still life into an elemental exploration of emotion\, weather\, and inner fire. \nVisit hrartstudio.com to view other works by Hanna Rachocka\,

SUMMARY:"The Color of Light" presented the The Gallery
DESCRIPTION:The Color of Light is about how we see. Without light\, we would see nothing\, and most of the time\, we think about what light allows us to see! But what happens when you look at the work of Joaquín Sorolla and John Singer Sargent? Both are masters of light\, capturing its intense\, fleeting effects” through their use of “bold brushwork\, vibrant colors\, and contrasts between warm highlights and cool shadows.” When you squint\, the work becomes more than just a copy of what is in front of you. You start to actually see the light itself! The patterns and directional flow are so powerful! The work moves toward abstraction and design and has inspired me to suggest this show! I hope you catch fire as well. \nAvailable to View: February 4 through March 28 (check Gallery hours) or online (see below) \nOpening Reception: Friday\, February 13\, 5:30-7:30 pm \nPictured: “Almost Paradise” by Willow Wright \n\nCongratulations to the Winners

SUMMARY:"Metamorphosis on Seeing Surreally" by Kevin Cook
DESCRIPTION:“Through Her Eyes” by Kevin Cook \nMetamorphosis explores the surreal terrain of the subconscious mind\, where imagination outweighs knowledge and perception is freed from logic and reason. Seen through the artist’s eyes\, reality is radically reconfigured\, and meaning is fully open to interpretation. \nKevin Cook’s work was awarded Best in Show during the TESA member exhibition in 2025. \nPictured: “Corazon Enflorecido” by Kevin Cook \n

SUMMARY:"Quilt Journey: Threads & Connections" by Cheryl Yellowhawk
DESCRIPTION:Quilt Journey: Threads of Connection by Cheryl Yellowhawk explores the star quilt as both a visual structure and a living story. Each painting begins with a traditional quilt pattern and unfolds into a contemporary expression through color\, rhythm\, and imagery drawn from the natural world. Butterflies\, turtles\, dragonflies\, flowers\, birds\, and celestial elements appear within the stars\, symbolizing transformation\, endurance\, guidance\, and the interconnectedness of life. \nPictured: “Owl Quilt” by Cheryl Yellowhawk

SUMMARY:"Paradox" by Mike King
DESCRIPTION:What is a paradox? It is a seemingly absurd or self-contradictory statement or proposition that\, despite the gainsayers\, has been shown to be a fact.\nThe bad treatment that Vincent Van Gogh suffered at the time\, and now his paintings sell for hundreds of millions\, underscores the meaning of “paradox.” My art show develops this theme of paradox by juxtaposing my realistic art with abstract images. I usually paint my realistic work in watercolor and abstracts in acrylic. \nAbstract painting\, unlike narrative or realistic work\, does not tell a story. It just “IS.” One should look at the big picture first before dismissing the work. The art may be so surreal\, strange\, and mysterious that it is unknowable\, but that’s OK. That’s why it’s called ART. \n– Mike King \nPictured: “Paradox” by Mike King

SUMMARY:"Here and There" by Willow Wright
DESCRIPTION:Here and There displays a variety of landscapes that have intrigued me in the past several years in my travels up the coast of the U.S.\, along the coast of Portugal\, near Tavira\, and in and around the Tampa Bay area. The land and the light have captured my wonder\, wherever I’ve travelled\, and I endeavor to document the rich and varied environment we live in. If we don’t take care of it\, it could be gone in under 100 years. \nPictured: “Alone on the Beach”
