SUMMARY:"Pointillism & Beyond"
DESCRIPTION:This show is an exploration and an expansion of the Neo-Impressionists’ love of light and pure color!\nDeveloped by Georges Seurat and his student Paul Signac\, it was a more scientific approach to color theory than the previous impressionist movement. New York City\, which produced the original production of Sunday in The Park With George in 1983. \nDirected by Paul Berg \nIn the days leading up to the completion of his most famous painting\, A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte\, Georges Seurat is struggling to make meaningful art and maintain a relationship with his lover\, Dot. A century later\, Seurat’s descendant- named George and also an artist – finds himself burnt out and in search of what artistic path to follow\, but he finds the answer to his future in the past. \nPresented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). \nPart of the 2023-24 Theatrical Season\, An Artist’s Playground. \n\nAdmission: $30 member / $35 general admission \nGroup Rate (10+ people): $31 per ticket \n \n(This event has reserved seating.) \nAvailable for all performances.
