DESCRIPTION:Pick up a new-to-you book and help raise money for a good cause! \n\nPlease stop by and browse the hundreds and hundreds of gently used books on our clearance tables as we work to clear our shelves and raise money for the Tom Jones Tuition Assistance Fund. Our goal is to raise enough money to help at least 15 families send their children to Summer Camp this year. \nBooks will be available to take home for a suggested donation of $1 per book.

Your donation can be as simple as rounding your total to the nearest five or ten dollars — or whatever amount you wish to give upon checkout. Thank you for your contribution! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nStudents will be introduced to the hand building of pinch\, coil and slab as well as basic design techniques to create functional and non-functional clay objects. Through the instruction of these techniques\, students will begin to recognize the properties\, possibilities and limitations of clay and acquire skills to perfect their work and create aesthetically pleasing forms with strong craftsmanship. \nStudents who have already acquired the basic techniques of hand building and design will be able to build upon their skills to create more advanced works. \nWeeks 1-4 are for creating\, and weeks 5-6 are for glazing. Break week is for firing. Finalized pieces can be picked up the first week of the next session at your previous class time even if you are not registered for the next session.
