This class will introduce students of all ages to the
fundamentals of percussion, starting with a rudiment structure and ultimately
moving toward study on a drum set. The class will focus on handling sticks and
proper technique, drum rolls, snare drum (students will use the instructor’s
drum). Students will also learn a song and play it for family and friends.

supported by CDs of this music, where it began and is today, from Field Hollers
