Nutrition and food preparation is important to everyone. Good cooking is a universal language. Eating what we prepare is very satisfying. Students will participate in making French toast, Sloppy Joes, Banana Pudding and Candlestick Salad. Additional lesson plan topics include: kitchen safety, hand washing and gloves wearing, temperature of food before and after its cooked, food preparation, nutrition, weights and measures, table manners, table settings, reading of labels and more.

 

*Materials Fee: Students will be required to pay a one-time fee of $5 for ingredients. The materials feel should be paid to the instructor on the first day of class.
